Actun Tunichil Muknal, the 'Cave of the Stone Sepulchre,' is Belize's most legendary adventure and often ranked among the most sacred caves in the world. Hike through the jungle, wade across rivers and swim into the cave's entrance, then follow your certified guide deep underground. Inside, you'll climb through cathedral-sized chambers to find ancient Maya pottery, ceremonial objects and skeletal remains exactly where they were left more than a thousand years ago, including the sparkling, calcified skeleton known as the Crystal Maiden.
